The scandal swirling around a Malaysian state investment fund allegedly defrauded of billions of dollars has entangled the United Arab Emirates ambassador to the U.S., according to court and investigative documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

This will be a long post that will not involve any Hollywood celebrities. Or anyone you’ve ever heard of, most likely. Unless you happen to be interested in or connected to the A-list political social circles in Washington.
On the very edge of the highest cliff, a tip-top-secret lair is vigorously under construction. Untold tens of millions have been spent – and are still being spent – to cobble together a beast. The enigmatic mastermind behind the monster has carefully disguised his footprints to prevent any media leakage, yet whispers of the grim secret emanate from behind the hedges and tall, guarded gates.
For months, dozens of workers have arrived at a construction site by dawn, where they are quickly hustled behind high walls, out of sight from any prying eyes, then tossed out just as rapidly at dusk. Though the workers are many and the hours long, it will be months before the daunting project is complete. After all, there are two once-separate properties to tear down, rebuild, and combine cohesively. When finished, the compound will undoubtedly be one of the most expensive in the city – perhaps even the king to rule them all. But why the near-impenetrable veil of secrecy?
The house was on the market. In March 2014, asking $34.5 million. Property was marketed extensively and graced several magazine covers.
In August 2014, the property was unceremoniously yanked off the MLS, never to return. Just five days after the removal, public records show the property sold for a tremendous $33,500,000 – easily the biggest sale for a single parcel in Point Dume. Ever. The buyer was listed as a strangely-named offshore corporation incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. Yolanda also heard from a very good source that Malibu mega-agent Chris Cortazzo had not just one but both sides of this deal. You go, boy.
As if all that intrigue wasn’t enough to pique Yolanda’s interest, the smaller modern-ish house on 1.1 acres next door sold nearly a year later (July 2015) for $12,225,000 to a different but no less oddly-named offshore corporation. Within a few months, both properties had been ripped apart and were feverishly being modified to combine the two structures into one tremendous estate.
Based on everything we know, have heard, and have seen, we very strongly believe it is His Excellency Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba who is building the top-secret $50 million+ compound up in Malibu Fact: As we mentioned previously, the big house was sold for $33,500,000 to a BVI-incorporated offshore company. (We’re pretty damn sure the sale was all-cash – we find no record of a loan or mortgage.) Said offshore company gives a legal address at a small financial advisory firm located in Montreux, Switzerland. That firm was founded a few years ago by a British ex-pat named Mr. Evans. Interestingly enough, Mr. Evans resided for 20+ years in the United Arab Emirates, where he was a longtime senior partner at PwC. Did y’all catch that? Fact is, Mr. Evans spent a significant amount of time – indeed, the majority of his career – living and working in a very prominent role in the UAE. It was only within the last 10 years that he decamped to Switzerland to establish his own startup firm. FACT: ”People are whispering. We’ve heard from two completely different folks (one who’s worked onsite recently and someone else who we’ve been doing “business” with a long time, and both have dropped Mr. Al Otaiba’s name). And they would know, kiddies. We’ve even been shown a document copy that directly links Mr. Al Otaiba’s name to this estate.
But anyway, the sign calls out a list of teams involved in this massive project. In addition to the lawyers and financial advisors, there are a lot of people getting paid a lot of money for all of this construction.
Can you wrap your brain around all this so far? Whoever is building up on 29140 & 29150 Cliffside has so far spent a total of $45,725,000 on the land alone. Then there’s the demolition and rebuilding fees, salaries, and all the other crap. Only three Malibu homes have ever sold for more than $50 million. All have been massive, thoroughly renovated compounds on 4 acres of land or more. Now here’s someone who’s spending well over $50 million to construct a trophy compound on just 2.32 acres. No doubt those are two very valuable acres of land. But if you ask Yolanda, it’s far more than what a place like that is really worth. So your gurl has to ask why. Why? Why would someone dump so much cash into a residence? And especially when both properties, particularly the 29150 Cliffside mansion, were already in top-notch shape. Why would you spend unnecessary millions just to gut and rebuild them? Just for fun? Hmmm. We don’t know.
Listen kids, His Excellency is a very rich man. His entrepreneurial father owns a huge palace in Abu Dhabi, was the country’s first oil minister, and the family has long wielded a great deal of influence in the area. Could that be why this has been kept so quiet?
Mr. Otaiba also has a reputation for exceedingly generous charitable contributions to a whole host of philanthropic causes. He’s also well-known for his penchant to throw extravagant parties for his select circle of high-powered Washington politico contacts. There was that one time he flew Wolfgang Puck from LA to his Virginia home to cook dinner for his family and a few guests. You know. Just your typical, everyday dinner party. As it happens, Yolanda was researching His Excellency when we discovered something interesting – or at least interesting to us. His Excellency is (allegedly) besties with our very own boy Jho Low. In fact, His Excellency has (allegedl) been involved in several business deals with the very shady (and extensively legally-embattled) Mr. Low. He and Mr. Low are – or were – both significant shareholders in something called the Abu Dhabi-Kuwait-Malaysia Investment Corporation (ADKMIC), a British Virgin Islands-registered investement company. That’s according to Mr. Low himself, not Yolanda.
ADKMIC is believed to have majority control of one of Malaysia’s largest banks. So His Excellency has – or had – clear business ties both to Malaysia and Mr. Low himself. He’s been termed a longtime “associate” of Mr. Low, whose numerous bank accounts worldwide are currently frozen as he is investigated for money laundering by at least six different countries.
Mr. Low, as you should already know, is believed to have looted Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund (1MDB) of at much as $6 billion since 2009.
But even if we are wrong about His Excellency’s ownership, you guys, there’s something fishy in Denmark. Someone has gone to a hell of a lot of trouble to cover their tracks here. Yes, very rich people often like to stay anonymous. But this – this level of deliberate opacity is practically beyond anything we’ve ever witnessed in LA. There’s gotta be a reason for the deafening silence. Whoever the owner is, for whatever reason they’re spending so much money up there on Point Dume, there’s a story there. A big story. A really big story.
Perhaps sometime in the next couple years, one of the big professional journalists will pick it up and turn it into real breaking news. If and when that happens, and you read it on some headline somewhere, don’t forget it was your chick Yolanda who first popped open that can of worms. You hear? Your gurl was on this shit from day one.

Najib's Mega-Payments - Time For Explanations MORE EXCLUSIVE DATA
Extended data from task force investigations into payments from Prime Minister Najib Razak’s 1MDB-funded AmBank accounts has now been received by Sarawak Report.
It shows that a number of companies and individuals received very large sums indeed, usually through a series of payments from the Prime Minister.
Given it has been confirmed by the US Dept of Justice and local task force investigations that this money originated from thefts from 1MDB, it is time these entities explained the reason why they were paid.
Sarawak Report has already listed payments to Najib’s family, his close lawyer contact Shafee Abdullah, Sarawak crony Bustari Yusuf, UMNO HQ and allied political parties.  We have also highlighted the evidence that millions in cash were also extracted and presumably circulated to various entities.  What about these further companies and individuals?

In our original article featuring the agency CENSE (Centre for Strategic Engagement) we identified RM1.3 million paid to them by Najib.  Since then their website has been down, undergoing ‘maintenance’.  However, further figures now obtained show that the company and also its individual directors received much more substantial payments in the time period 2012-15.
The company also set up a Chinese business radio station under the CENSE trademark, which also received payment from Najib:

Director Soong Fui Kiun received a number of direct payments in her own name from Najib’s account number 2112022009694, including RM1.5 million on 22/10/12 and RM1 million on 11/1/13.  She received a further two payments of RM1 million on 14th March and 18th April 2013, making a total of RM4.5 million received in her own name.

A further ten separate payments to CENSE itself between October 2012 and February 2015 from the same account totalled RM6.75 million, including a half million ringgit payment to CENSE Media.
Rita Sim, Sim Sai Hoon, received a personal payment of RM1.2 million 4th April 2012.

Election Goodies?

Other companies, who seem to be in the occupation of providing so-called ‘election goodies’, including handout packs, satchels and so forth, also received much more than originally realised.  The company Solar Shine Sdn Bhd received 35 payments between February 2012 and February 2015 totalling a staggering RM117 million.
Red Bag Industry Sdn Bhd received 15 payments in the run up to the election totalling RM13.28 million.
Another communications company named MASCOM Communications received nine payments during the pre-election period totalling RM15.4 million. Likewise, an outfit named Orb Solutions Sdn Bhd, which is run by an employee from Najib’s own office and a senior executive from Astro satellite TV. Sarawak Report has already revealed the company receieved RM68 million, according to the same figures.
Jakel Trading, on the other hand, is a luxury furnishing shop that indicates more personal spending.  Sarawak Report has obtained further figures which show that Najib paid the store a whopping RM44 million.  Likewise, the Prime Minister paid a total of RM17 million to the Yayasan Rahah Foundation, which was established by his mother. Once again, this money  came from the accounts funded by money taken from 1MDB.

Malaysians ought surely to be interested to know the function and purpose of another company to which the Prime Minister forwarded no less than 38 payments during the same period totalling RM23 million.
Semarak Konsortium Satu Sdn Bhd is controlled by the Director and 50% shareholder of the company, Mohd Omar Bin Mustapha alongside Rozita Binti Ramelan, who appears to be his wife:

Sarawak Report has already identified Omar bin Mustapha as a key provider of speeches for Najib through his company Ethos Consulting.
SR previously exposed this operative;s connections with the PetroSaudi Director Tarek Obaid and his brother Nawaf Obaid in a clear black propaganda campaign that was waged against opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim in the United States during 2010.  However, the payments to Semarak Konsortium were later, between March 2011 and February 2014.
So, what were Omar and his wife being paid for this time out of 1MDB money?
Another chap connected to Najib’s Office also appeared to receive several repeat cheques.  This was Mohamad Fatmi Che Salleh, who is described in Wikipedia as “one of the longest serving Political Secretaries to the Deputy Prime Minister (Then) and Prime Minister of Malaysia”.  This plainly trusted worker, who is also senior within UMNO in Kota Bharu, received six separate payments from Najib’s later account 2112022011906 funded by SRC totalling RM1.9 million.
The property developer Lim Soon Peng also received more payments than previously recorded, according to our now extended figures.  There were nine separate payments totalling just over RM3 million. What for?

More election expenses

The company Brandworth Corp. received a RM6.5 million cheque on 3rd May 2013 and earlier RM5.69 million on 8th April.  According to blogger RPK, who owns and runs the Malaysia Today website, “Brandworth Corporation is a company that managed Barisan Nasional’s media strategy in the previous general election”.  
RPK claims Brandworth was raided by the MACC in October 2015, presumably not least because it had been secretly funded by Najib from stolen 1MDB cash.

Another company to get multi-million ringgit payments from the same accounts during the same period was Media Link Direct, which received five payments between March and April 2013 totalling RM10.5 million.
This company specialises in pushing materials online to social media, which is a handy election tool.  Again Najib helped himself to 1MDB money to fund this advantage that was not available to the opposition parties operating within the funds they could legitimately raise.
Another high earner, apparently within the same field at the same time, was the company Zeal High Tech Solutions, which received RM4.5 million 2nd April 2014 and RM9 million 29th March.  Zeal is also in the business of pumping messages through social media, presumably part of Najib’s ‘Cyber-warfare’, funded by theft:
” Zeal’s speciality is what we call Customized Information Delivery OR CID systems. CID systems allows you to customize and deliver the information you want to your target audience, knowing full well that that you are delivering the exact information your target audience needs.”
A number of politicians pop up in the list as receiving cheques here and there. Sarawak’s Jacob Sagan received a standard hand out of RM200,000, whereas Richard Riot got RM100,000.  Ahmad Maslan on the other hand got a handsome RM1 million.

There are other names and companies on the list, but one in particular stands out.  On 8th of April 2013 Najib Razak paid a check to ‘Ketua Pengarah Perisikan Pertahanan’ (DPPP), for a handsome RM7 million.
Perhaps Lt General Datuk Abdul Hadi Bin Haji Hussin, who occupies the role, could explain why this service was receiving a personal cheque from the Prime Minister (paid out of 1MDB’s stolen money) just a month before the last election?

Sarawak Report has obtained further details of the investigation into the suspected protection racketeer Gopinathan Krishnan (‘Gopi’), showing that he was in regular contact with over 20 senior police officers, most particularly from within the country’s vice squads.
The IGP himself has admitted that he and close family members knew Gopi and were in regular touch. However he has denied there is cause for concern and there is believed to be pressure to close down the investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
One new name thrown up in the investigation is that of DCP Saiful Azly Kamaruddin, who is the new Commander of STAGG (Special Task Force for Anti-Vice, Gaming and Gangsterism), the elite unit of the police force combatting gambling and gangsterism nationwide.
Saiful was promoted to the position in March of this year, not least, it is understood, because he is part of a powerful circle of top police officers also linked to Gopi, who is now being investigated for running a major protection racket, which was claiming huge sums of cash from illegal gambling dens and prostitution houses.

Billing records for Gopi’s phone make clear that there were copious calls from this alleged chief organiser of the protection racket to the handphone of and the newly promoted STAGG boss, who in turn is known to be a close friend and colleague of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khalid Abu Baker.
During January and February, just before his promotion, Saiful received no less than 36 calls from Gopi, who has been identified as the civilian who was organising collections by police officers in Malacca of cash from the various illegal dens.
It has already been reported that Gopi was known by those police officers to have high level contacts in the Federal police force and that failure to cooperate with his demands to extract the cash would mean repercussions for their job situations.
Gopi is also reported to have confessed. So, what were these regular conversations about with the soon to be promoted head of the unit that is in charge of controlling the very vice activities that Gopi and his accomplices were said to be milking through their alleged protection racket?

Some of the calls were just a few seconds, others were lengthy and with follow-ups on the same day.  In March and April, after Saiful had been promoted, the phone calls from Gopi continued with 17 calls during that period, most of them just a few seconds long.
Sarawak Report has already reported that the Head of CID, Mohamed Salleh, and also the Police Chief of Perak, Hasnan Hassan, were on Gopi’s list of contacts.  Also among the top names in the list whom we have not previously identified:
 – Khairuidin Saad (KPP D4 Bukit Aman)
– ACP Nordin Manan (JP JKK IPK Penang)
– Yusof Mamat (OCPD Klang Utara)
Given the seriousness of the charges and the huge number of senior police officers with  Gopi was regularly communicating a full explanation is clearly required for each of these many phone calls.
Instead, the IGP has rebutted Sarawak Report, saying that many people have his number and ring him to answer questions:  “I don’t even know who some of these callers are“, explained Khalid to reporters, despite earlier saying that the well-connected suspect was indeed a family friend and in regular touch also with his son and brother in law.
The IGP later called on the Editor of Sarawak Report to show up in KL in order to brief his police on information relating to the global 1MDB kleptocracy scandal, yet at the same time threatened that his police force could not guarantee her safety.
Sarawak Report has other numbers also connected to top police officers, which it is presently researching.

KUALA LUMPUR: A major reshuffle involving the transfers and promotions of 74 senior police officers, including state and department heads, was announced yesterday by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
Heading the list was police administration department director Comm Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah, who will take over as the new director of the internal security and public order department following the retirement of Comm Datuk Seri Muhammad Sabtu Osman last month.
With the retirement of narcotics crime investigation department (NCID) director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff next month, CID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh will assume the post of NCID director.
Johor police chief Comm Datuk Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd will be the new CID chief, and will be replaced by police secretary DCP Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd, who reports for duty in the state next month.
Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mazlan Mansor, who had served as Petaling Jaya police chief and Selangor CID chief, will return to Selangor to assume the post of state police chief when current police chief Datuk Abdul Samah Mat retires this month.
Deputy director of the internal security and public order department DCP Datuk Amer Awal will take over as the new Sarawak police commissioner.
Director of the integrity and standard compliance department (JIPS) Comm Datuk Abdul Ghafar Rajab will assume duties as the new head of the police administration department.
JIPS deputy director Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin moves out of the federal police headquarters to succeed Negri Sembilan police chief DCP Datuk Jaafar Mohd Yusof, who retires this month.
Several district police chiefs in the Klang Valley were also among those who were promoted and listed in the transfer order.

Salleh, no need to talk about world history, Malaysia making own history

What started out as a debate on whether the opposition was led by "two dictators", as claimed by the government, has veered into Communications and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak's grasp of world history.
This was after Salleh, in a blog posting, provided "historical evidence" that there can be two dictators at the same time, in response to DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang's statement that the concept did not make sense.
Salleh, in his blog posting, gave examples of Joseph Stalin and Vladimir Lenin in the Soviet Union and Maximillian Robespierre and Napoleon Bonaparte in France as examples of two dictators ruling at the same time, adding that the same happened in China, while in Cuba, Che Guevara "abandoned the revolution because he did not want to be a joint-dictator" with Fidel Castro...

On the promise of receiving at least RM500 million from IGP Khalid's collection for the coming GE14, Najib has extended the retirement of the Chief of Protection Racket.
Malaysia is simply a fantastic nation to live in where gangster can be head of the Police Force, MACC Chief and AG can be told to close their eyes on crime activities by Cronies, Speaker in Parliament can shut the mouth of Opposition, Immigration allow terrorists, murderers and gangsters to roam in and out of Malaysia freely while its own citizens cannot travel out of Malaysia and a Master in Money Laundering can be the Prime Minister and the wife of the Master of Money Laundering can lead the Prime Minister with a rope round his neck while a nobody can suck the Malays dry by blackmailing the Prime Minister with his love child.
The whole country is screwed yet the Malays rejoices when given free lunches, sack of rice and a bottle of oil and a mere RM50 before election.

Gopi Made Over A Hundred Calls To One Top Cop - And CID Chief Called Him Back! EXCLUSIVE

If the IGP thinks it is not an issue that a score of top cops received calls from jailed suspect Gopi, what about the emerging evidence that those same officers were ringing Gopi back during the weeks before his arrest?
Sarawak Report has obtained phone bill records which show this to be the case.
Questioned by journalists over the connections between Malaysia’s top brass in law enforcement and the alleged gangster behind a police protection racket in Malacca, the Inspector General (IGP) has so far been dismissive.
So what that he and fellow officers had taken numerous calls from the suspected ringleader Gopinathan Krishnan,  known as Gopi, he maintained on Thursday:
“A lot of people have called me every day, just to wish me ‘good morning, sir’, ‘how are you today’ and wishing me well. I (think I have received) hundreds of calls every morning. Is that suspicious? You can check my phone and make an analysis from it,” he said.
“If you want to say that calls are something suspicious, well, I have commented about this and I don’t want to entertain (anymore). Sarawak Report has made up a non-sensible story,” he said. [Malaysiakini and other news portals]

Quite apart from the concern that the country’s top police officer wastes time receiving such calls on his official handphone in his official time, this is clearly not a matter that sits well as a joke when no solid explanations have been provided for the calls.
However, Sarawak Report now has confirmation that at least one of these officers, none other than the Head of CID, Mohamed Salleh (phone number 0196000148) has himself  called Gopi (phone number 0126193971) back.  The call was at 1040 am on April 24th, which was not long before the latter’s arrest:

From Malay Mafia to UMNO to Gerakan, DAP is bombarded daily since the latter took over the running of Penang.

Since DAP became the State Government of Penang, many achievement and development can be seen.  The people lives have improved so did their income.

Events that are held there can easily generate sales per period up to RM220 million., which Kuala Lumpur being the capital of Malaysia cannot do.  Hotels are fully books, transport and roads are jammed up, food are sold out at any event in Penang. Tourism is at the highest in Penang with or without GST. GST does not matter in Penang.

Things became better than in the days of Gerakan. Most Penang residents are happy with the present State Government.

So why are there so many attack from outsiders and Gerakan which is also a so-called Chinese Party?

The answer lies with GE14 which must be held this year or Najib will die a very painful death in a foreign country.

Today, ROS is misusing its authority since it failed to do its job back in 2013. The law is on DAP side but the judges are NOT. That is why certain people are having their retirement extended to another two to three years. Petition to Agong is fruitless since the power lies in Rosmah's hand.

GE 13 came and now almost due for GE14, ROS and Zahid want or should it be say demand for DAP to hold a fresh elections for its central executive committee. 

But first let us look at how Gerakan survived its bankruptcy due to non collection of commission and bribery since losing Penang to DAP. While China refused to do business with the arrogant Gerakan mentality.

2017 is a very good year for Gerakan members in Penang because every single members there has become a millionaire. While at least 30% from other states are today in the month of July 2017 have also joined the millionaire club.

What is the secret behind Gerakan success at being millionaire after being rejected by Penang people?

Is it because they are fantastic business managers or do they have inside dealings in the stock market?
The answer is none of the above.

Gerakan success comes from MONEY GAME.

Since losing their power in Penang, Gerakan members started the Money Game in Penang in 2009 to survive.

The founder members for MBI are from the party Gerakan.  Members who became millionaire from MBI started other Money Game like JJPTR etc.  Today there are at least 8 money game operations in Penang alone run by Gerakan members.

Today Gerakan no longer need to beg from UMNO instead the role has changed.

TN50 survival depends on millions to run monthly since it is base on getting people to vote for BN in the coming election and UMNO has no free money to give.

So when the authorities took action on Money Game Operators in Penang to confiscate the money for GE14, Gerakan went to see Najib to support TN50 and convince the latter that their membership from Money Game can easily take over Penang from DAP.

Today Gerakan can afford to buy Penang but will the people allow themselves to be sold like the Malays. 

To those with green eyes hoping that the authorities will take action against Money Game Operators in Penang can wait till Kingdom come. Whether the present Government remain or Opposition takes over, NO ONE CAN TAKE ACTION AGAINST Gerakan, JJPTR OR MBI, BECAUSE ALL FUNDS HAVE BEEN CHANNELED INTO MBI BANK.  PLUS JACK MA AND MBI HAVE SIGNED AN AGREEMENT FOR JOINT OPERATION ON MMALL PENANG.

Leptospirosis? Were the authorities searching for a disease that fits the symptoms?

There we have it! The official announcement that  Mohamad Thaqif Amin Mohd Gaddafi died from leptospirosis, a bacterial infection, which is spread by rat’s urine.

Thaqif’s mother, Felda Wani Ahmad has dismissed the findings. She said that if this were the case, why did the hospital not say that Thaqif had the disease, soon after his admission.
I am not convinced he died of the rat disease… and what do you say?
Did we wait all this time, whilst some people did a lot of research, to see if they could find a disease that fits the symptoms which Thaqif suffered from – changes in the skin colour, blood clots, internal bleeding. 
The longer they waited, the more speculation grew about a cover-up.
Now, we will be trying to find out where he contracted leptospirosis, and we will ignore the fact that he was beaten.
So where did he get this rat disease. At his school? 
At his home? He was taken home when he complained of being beaten.
At the hospital?

EYE-WATERINGLY LONG 10 WEEK WAIT

After making the late 11-year-old’s parents wait an eye-wateringly long 10 weeks for the post mortem results, the Director General of the Health Ministry, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, broke the news that Thaqif had died from leptospirosis. Not from the result of the beating. 
Thaqif had been beaten on the soles of his feet, and he died after his legs had been amputated. Beatings on the soles of the feet contravenes the United Nations convention on torture. Why are our religious schools allowed to break the law?
Dr Noor Hisham acted with extreme insensitivity, because he broke the results of the post mortem to a pack of reporters. Why did he not tell Thaqif’s parents first. Their little boy had died. 
Where is the compassion? Why the lack of courtesy and human decency?
When Thaqif’s body was exhumed, the authorities did not bother to tell the parents the exact date of when it would take place. How cruel can they get?

RELIGION IS BIG BUSINESS 

There have been previous cases of severe beatings in religious schools but the authorities appear not to take action against any religious teacher. Why?
These beatings should have been a wake-up call for the Ministry of Education (MOE) to tighten-up procedures, vet the schools, and issue guidelines, to all private and government run religious schools. This is the least they should have done, but they did not!
They could have banned private schools and only allowed government run religious schools. They did not and that is why the MOE’s position, now, is untenable.
After Thaqif’s death, the minister said that procedures would be tightened, but in the years since the previous beatings, what has the MOE done? The MOE has  failed the children.
If we keep silent now, we are also responsible for all the deaths of the children in religious schools. 
The MOE said that JAKIM will be in charge of the tahfiz schools. We have heard nothing from them.
Will they now demand a bigger budget than the RM1 billion they currently receive?
Remember, religion is not just big business, because the ulamas and muftis help to prop-up corrupt leaders in a dictatorial regime. The religious schools will become part of the backbone of their powerbase.

Speak out, before there are more deaths!

When we tuck into a bacon sandwich, few of us wonder what has happened to the other parts of the pig whose life has been sacrificed so we can enjoy a juicy breakfast.
But one inquisitive writer set out to trace where all the body parts of one porker ended up.
Christein Meindertsma, 29, said: 'Like most people, I had little idea of what happens to a pig after it leaves the abattoir so I decided to try to find out. I approached a pig farmer friend who agreed let me follow one of his animals.'

Identified by its yellow ear tag number, 05049, her pig trail ended with her identifying an incredible 185 different uses to which it was put  -  from the manufacture of sweets and shampoo, to bread, body lotion, beer and bullets. 
Christein said: 'I was shocked when I began to find out just how unusual and varied the different uses for a ordinary pig were. It's almost as if these days, a pig is no longer thought of an animal  -  more like an industrial raw material with a mind-blowing amount of different uses.' 
She found that 4.9lbs of her 16st 3lb pig went to making wine gums, while 4.8lbs went into liquorice. In this process, collagen is taken from the pig and is then converted into gelatine. This finds its way into numerous foodstuffs, where it acts as a gelling agent. 
Although not all sweets in the UK contain pork gelatine, many do  -  including Marks & Spencer's hugely popular and aptly-named Percy Pigs sweets. 
It is not only sweets that contain pork gelatine. In some beers, wines and fruit juices, pig gelatine is used to remove the cloudiness from the drink. It works as a clarifying agent by reacting with the tannins in the liquid and absorbing the cloudiness. 
Some ice creams, whipped creams, yoghurts and certain butters also contain gelatine, as do certain pet foods. More surprisingly, a number of medicines also contain pig gelatine  -  everything from painkillers to multivitamins. 
Hygiene and beauty products are also made of pig. Fatty acids extracted from the bone fat of pigs are used in shampoos and conditioners to give them their shiny, pearl-like appearance. These acids can also be found in a number of body lotions, foundations and anti-wrinkle creams. Glycerine made from pork fat is also an ingredient in many types of toothpaste. 
Christein, from Holland, found that while some companies were reluctant to cooperate in her quest, others claimed that they didn't even realise their products contained elements taken from a pig because of the middle men involved in the complex distribution process. 
The confusion is not helped by the fact that it is not clear on products' ingredient labels where they originally came from. 
According to the Food Standards Authority, there is no legal obligation for manufacturers to specify whether the gelatine they use is from a pig or another animal. When it is specified, it is often confusingly referred to as Suilline gelatine. 
According to Richard Lutwyche  -  a British pig farmer with more than 60 years experience, chair of the Traditional Breeds Meat Marketing Company and a member of the British Pig Association  -  the reasons for much of this confusion is due to the industrial-scale of much pig farming. 
'In the UK, big commercial farms send their pigs to large abattoirs. The abattoir will find different markets for all the by-products,' he says. 'Everything they can't sell they have to incinerate, so it's in their best interest to sell as much as they can. 
'There's an old expression that says: when it comes to pig, you can use everything but the squeal. Over the past 100 years those uses have expanded rapidly.' 
Some of the surprising products that can include pig material include photographic film, which uses collagen from pig bones; shoes that use bone glue from pigs to improve the quality of the leather; and certain paints that use bone fat to enhance their glossy properties. 
Some makers of cigarettes use haemoglobin from pig's blood in their filters. Apparently this element works as a sort of 'artificial lung' in the cigarette so, they claim, 'harmful reactions take place before the chemicals reach the user'. 
And the next time you buy a loaf of bread you would be well advised to read the packaging. Some manufacturers use an ingredient called L-cysteine, which is a protein made from pig or other animal hair and which is used to soften the dough. 
A product like Tesco's Plain Tortilla Wraps includes this ingredient. The strangest use for a pig by-product that Christein found was in bullets and explosives. Pig bone gelatine was used to help transport the gunpowder or cordite into the bullet. It is difficult not to be impressed by the sheer versatility of this animal and its parts. 
Virtually nothing in a pig goes to waste. The snout from Pig 05049 became a deep-fried dog snack, while pig ears are sometimes used for chemical weapon testing due to their similarity to human tissue. 
Tattoo artists even buy sections of pig skin to practise their craft on due to its similarity to human skin, while it is occasionally used with burns patients for the same reason. 
Pigs make an enormous contribution to medicine, with insulin, the blood-thinning drug heparin and pig heart valves all vital. 
However, for vegetarians, Jews keeping kosher, Muslims and anybody else wishing to avoid pig products, this may not be such good news. 
The complex workings of the global food and processing industry have ensured that it is almost impossible to avoid pig altogether.

IGP: Group in South Thailand linked to Pastor Koh’s abduction

Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar says police working with Thai counterparts in five-month old investigation into preacher's abduction.

PETALING JAYA: Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar has linked a group based in South Thailand to the abduction of Pastor Raymond Koh in February this year.
However, Khalid did not specify if the group was involved in criminal or terrorist activities.
He said the investigation was linked to an operation last month when police raided the house of a drug trafficking suspect in Kampung Weng Dalam, Kedah on June 17.
On June 25, Khalid revealed police had found new leads in Koh’s abduction following a drug sting operation.
He had said photos believed to be of Koh’s house and his car were found in the suspect’s house. He added that the suspect was killed in a shootout with police.
“Following our questioning of four other suspects, we believe this group was involved in Koh’s abduction. The group was led by the suspect who was killed,” Khalid said at a press conference after a handing over ceremony for three Bukit Aman directors.
“We believe this group also has links with other groups in southern Thailand.”
Khalid added that Bukit Aman was also liaising with their Thai counterparts on the case.
“I cannot say with any certainty on that matter,” Khalid said, when asked if he had any indication as to the fate of Koh.
Koh was abducted by a group of masked men in SUVs along Jalan SS4B/10, less than 100m from the Police Housing Complex in Kelana Jaya on Feb 13.
He was driving a silver Honda Accord bearing the licence plate ST5515D to a friend’s house in Kelana Jaya when he was abducted.
CCTV footage showed that at least 10 men and seven vehicles were involved in the abduction.

Ini kerana Rafizi dimaklumkan sehingga kini tidak ada sebarang laporan mengenai aktiviti senggaraan ke atas ACJ320 9M-NAB seperti yang didakwa.
“Selalunya pergerakan dan aktiviti jet dilaporkan secara terperinci oleh perunding penerbangan seperti Aero Transport Databank (www.aerotransport.org),” katanya dalam satu sideng media di Ibu Pejabat Amanah Kuala Kangsar.
Dalam pada itu Rafizi meminta kerajaan menerangkan kenapa tidak ada jet gantian sepertimana amalan biasa sehingga perlu menyewa sebuah jet baru daripada Emirates.
“Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor boleh sahaja menggunakan satu lagi jet sedia ada iaitu ACJ319 9M-NAA memandangkan sekarang pun ada 2 jet yang beroperasi iaitu ACJ319 9M-NAA dan BBJ737-700 M53-01,” katanya.
Dalam beberapa sidang media sebelum ini, Rafizi antara lain mendakwa kerajaan membelanjakan sehingga RM86 juta bagi menyewa jet tersebut.
Pegawai Khas Isteri Perdana Menteri Datuk Rizal Mansor mewajarkan tindakan menyewa itu dengan berkata Rosmah memiliki jadual yang padat.

DPM's Son-In-Law Given More Than Eight Injections Of Anaesthesia During Dental Treatment- Court Told

    KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court was told today that Datuk Syed Alman Zain Syed Alwi, who died while receiving dental treatment, was given eight injections for anaesthesia during the minor surgery to remove his wisdom tooth at the Imperial Dental Specialist Centre here in June last year.
    Assistant Nurse Kristine G.Flores, 29, said Syed Alman Zain was given five injections before the operation and more than three injections when he was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
    "The patient received all the injections from Doctor Ting," she said and identified the doctor, obstetrician/gynaecologist  Dr Ting Teck Chin, who was in the dock for allegedly causing Syed Alman Zain’s death.
    Kristine, who is from the Philippines and has a degree in Science and Nursing from a university in the  republic, is the 15 th prosecution witness in the trial.
    The CPR was administered on Syed Alman Zain, who was Deputy Prime Minister  Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's son-in-law, after the doctor who was doing the operation found that he stopped snoring during the operation, she said during examination in chief by deputy public prosecutor Shukor Abu Bakar.
    "The patient was snoring during the operation and the snoring was loud,” she said, adding that Dr. Ting checked Syed Alman Zain’s heart beat before administering the CPR.
    Dr Ting, who is based at Kuala Lumpur Hospital, is accused of causing the death of Syed Alman Zain, 44,  at Imperial Dental Specialist Centre, Lot 62 & 64, Jalan Telawi, Bangsar Baru, Brickfields here, where he was a part-time anaesthetist, between 6 pm and 9.05 pm on June 1, 2016.
    He is charged under Section 304(b) of the Penal Code which carries an imprisonment for up to 10 years or a fine or both, on conviction
    Syed Alman Zain, the husband of Datuk Nurulhidayah, 38, who is the eldest child of Ahmad Zahid was reported to have lost consciousness while being treated at the dental specialist centre and referred to University of Malaya medical centre before being confirmed dead.
    The trial before judge Zaman Mohd Noor continues on Nov 1.

    Your mom and family doctor have probably always agreed on at least one thing—getting a full night’s rest is essential to maintaining your good health, no matter what your age.
    But if you toss and turn or snore, you may be causing long-term damage to your heart. In fact, according to the findings of a 2013 study, people who get less than six hours of sleep a night are at increased risk for conditions leading to heart disease and heart failure.
    “There are many ways sleep disorders can affect the health of your heart,” says Dr. Raina Gupta, a neurologist and sleep medicine specialist at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. “Sleep disorders can not only put added strain on your heart, night after night, but may contribute to abnormal heart rhythm and hormone levels in your body.”
    According to Dr. Gupta, the most serious sleep disorder for the heart is obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a condition in which breathing pauses occur during sleep—often several times an hour—due to a blocked airway. The inconsistent, often severe, breathing issues not only causes a restless night’s sleep, but can lead to daytime sleepiness, morning headaches, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) and atrial fibrillation (heart flutter).
    “Prolonged atrial fibrillation is a common cause of stroke and heart failure,” says Dr. Ajay Baddi, a cardiologist with Advocate Heart Institute in Chicago. “With the irregular beat, the heart isn’t working as hard as it should to pump the blood from chamber to chamber. This means blood can clot in the heart and then be pumped up into the brain, causing a stroke.”
    He says atrial fibrillation can cause the heart to enlarge and lead to heart attack and heart failure.
    “Anyone who snores heavily, especially if it keeps your partner awake at night, should check with their physician about having a sleep study,” says Dr. Gupta. “The sooner you know whether or not you have sleep apnea and how severe it might be, the sooner you can be treated and avoid any possible long-term damage to your heart.”
    Dr. Gupta says that insomnia, or a lack of sleep, also can cause issues with the normal heartbeat and have a similar effect on the heart muscle. The body is not allowed to get its restorative sleep time it needs to keep healthy.
    “And poor sleep can change the hormones in your body, which affects the way fat is stored,” Dr. Gupta says. “Extra fat is stored, which can lead to an elevated risk of diabetes and heart disease.”
    In addition to seeing a physician for any serious sleep issues, Dr. Gupta says there are steps to make certain you get a good night’s sleep:
    • Participate in regular physical activity, but try to avoid working out prior to bed. Exercise is important for heart health, but getting your adrenaline going too close to bedtime can keep you awake.
    • Studies show that red wine is good for the heart, but limit alcohol intake to one drink a day for women and two drinks for men. Over-consuming can interfere with sleep.
    • Avoid caffeine at least a few hours before heading to bed.
    • Develop a bedtime routine—take a warm soak in the tub, dim the lights or drink herbal tea. This will calm you and prepare you for a proper night’s rest.
    “The medical evidence is very clear—there is a definite link between sleep and your heart health,” says cardiologist Dr. Baddi. “Regardless of gender, age or race, like exercise and proper nutrition, we all need sleep for a healthy heart.”

    PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has been advised by his doctors to rest for two months, said party secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan.
    This comes after Hadi, who is also Marang MP, underwent a three-hour surgery about two months ago to replace a leaking heart valve at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur.
    “He (Hadi) is now in treatment but whenever he feels okay, he can come to the Parliament.
    “His health is already okay, but he has been advised by the doctors to take a long rest, about two months,” Takiyuddin told reporters at Parliament today.
    He was responding to questions from the press about Hadi’s health.
    Meanwhile, when asked whether the amendments to Syariah Court (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965, also known as Act 355, will be debated in this parliamentary session, the Kota Baru MP merely said: “If back then we could make it on time, then this time should be the same.”
    Last April 6, the private member’s bill brought by Hadi to amend Act 355 was finally tabled in the Dewan Rakyat.
    However, the motion was ended after the supporting speech was read out.

    Doctors recommended two months of rest but Hadi is going for four months.
    Even a donkey can read the real reason for the extra two months of rest.
    I propose that Hadi take a longer rest by going to USA to live next to his ex colleague.
